Despite the rain showers falling in Reynold’s Plantation, the rain did not diminish the beauty of the property. It was a fantastic auction yesterday on Lake Oconee. Nine bidders participated in the auction. The farthest distance anyone traveled for the auction was a bidder from Illinois who came flying in on his private jet. The auction concluded at a hammer price of $1,820,000. The winning bidder was a business man from Atlanta who specializes in commercial construction. He and his family plan to use the home as a vacation home and are anticipating spending a lot of hot summer days on the lake with their 8 grandchildren.
